What's the deal with Shadowrun?

There's a lot of discussion going on all over the internet about Shadowrun - the newest FPS for the Xbox 360. FASA Studio, known more recently for their work on Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge and MechAssault 2: Lone Wolf for the Xbox, has unleashed Shadowrun to what at least one of their developers deems highly unfair reviews.

So what's the deal with Shadowrun and why is there so much disdain aimed at it? If it was good, why are so many reviewers trashing it? For the gamers out there that have no idea what's going on and why it's causing such a stir, I delve into some of the reasons as to why it's such a hot topic.

Ask-A-Dev: Blue Orb

Where are the Next-Gen Interfaces?

Since the announcement of the next-gen consoles, the talk of the town has been all about a handful of features. Horsepower tends to be high on that list, along with particle effects and how much geometry developers allow on-screen. While those are valid topics to be concerned with, one thing that hasn't received anywhere near as much press time is the part of gaming that effectively controls our experience.

Gamerscore Blog Road Tour 2007 Hits Miami

When Microsoft throws an invite-only party - and you get an invite - your only option is to go and get down. That's exactly what I did.

This past Saturday in Miami was the Miami stop in the Gamerscore Blog Road Tour 2007, and I was lucky enough to get invited. Untold levels of awesomeness ensued.
