Newest Update for PlayStation 3 Has Been Pulled Due to Error Reports

Sony has pulled the firmware update 4.45 for the PlayStation 3 because it was causing errors for many systems.

It was brought to the attention to Sony that the update that went live yesterday was crashing systems at the boot screen and “bricking” them. The patch has been officially pulled for further investigation.

The update was meant to improve the Trophy notifications, but it was causing some headaches instead for many users.

Sony is currently working on remedying the issue, so it is suggested to not update until the problem is solved.
