Xbox One Hard Drive Information

Many gamers that were watching Microsoft’s Xbox One reveal may have been asking themselves what size hard drive the unit will pack with it. With the system being powered by the cloud and every game needing a mandatory install, it would have to be a lot.

Microsoft confirmed to Engadget that the Xbox One will come packed with a 500 GB Hard Drive, and even though the hard drive will not be able to be serviced by users, or replaced, the USB 3.0 will allow users to connect an external USB hard drive that can be used for everything that the packed hard drive can be used for. That includes Installing games and downloading.

Here are the specs revealed so far for the Xbox One:

  • 8GB RAM
  • 5 Billion Transistors
  • USB 3.0
  • Wifi direct
  • Blu ray
  • 500GB HDD
  • 8 Core x86 Processor
  • HDMI
  • Three Operating Systems
  • 300,000 servers
