Last month, GAMINGtruth delivered a trailer for the upcoming Kickstarter for Shovel Knight, an 8-bit title spawned from former WayForward employees. What better way to celebrate the game reaching its goal than with a little insight into its development. Like, right now.

The artist known as Jake “virt” Kaufman has worked on chiptunes for praised retro titles such as Retro City Rampage, and revamps such as Double Dragon Neon. Admittedly, I am a fan of his work and think it’s pretty damn awesome watching and listening as amazing unfolds. And yes, I do have the Double Dragon Neon soundtrack on my phone and City Streets 2 (Mango Tango – Neon Jungle) is my favorite song.

Crack a pop-top and enjoy the tunes.
