Sony Details DualShock 4 Controller
What We Know
The DualShock 4 will release with the PlayStation 4 and come with a integrated touch pad, LED panel that will allow the new Sony PlayStation Eye camera to track the player’s motion, headphone jack, share button, compressed analog sticks, cushioned handles and speakers built into the controller. The controller’s touch pad also features a mechanical button, and supports “capacitive type.” Not only is the controller a bit bigger than the current DualShock 3 controller, but is also heavier.
The controller’s LED will be used to track players for motion-based games, and will also be used to represent in-game elements. When your health gets low, the color of the LED will change for example. Even though the LED will not replace the Move Controller, it will replace the current sixaxis tech.
The Share button on the controller will allow you to, at the click of a button, share your experience to many different social media hubs such as YouTube or Facebook.
