Sonic & All-Stars Racing Gets a Nintendo 3DS Launch Trailer
The game that turned kart-fan heads when it dropped its wheels on the asphalt is now doing the same on a handheld console. Today, Sonic & All-Stars Racing launched on the Nintendo 3DS. As we mentioned here previously, the Bonus Edition of the game will be available for a limited time. The limited edition will include Metal Sonic as a playable character and a few other goodies.
“A game like Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed is perfect for the Nintendo 3DS,” said John Cheng, president and COO, SEGA of America, in a press release. “Whether it’s one of the classic SEGA characters, NASCAR racer Danica Patrick, or Disney’s ‘Wreck It Ralph,’ everyone will have a favorite to race to the finish line.”
While the game does seem promising, performance can be questioned. With the fast-paced environment of the game seen on the console versions it is a wonder how well it will perform on the Nintendo 3DS. The PS Vita is the only other handheld version of the game out to date. The trailer does show very minimal gameplay and is gameplay nonetheless.
Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed launches today for $29.99 on the Nintendo 3DS.
