Hello Kitty Company and Mad Catz to Deliver Street Fighter Accessories that are Shorycuteken!
The 25th Anniversary of the Street Fighter series has delivered on many levels. Mad Catz and Sanrio are setting up to bring more must haves to fans of the fighter.
Sanrio, who is primarily known for its cutesy-cat known as Hello Kitty, will be teaming up with the fight stick maker. We’ve already seen 8-bit sprites representing Street Fight characters in the Street Fighter X Mega Man trailer, but the cartoon creator will bring that cuteness to new light.
“We’re pleased to celebrate the Street Fighter 25th anniversary with the new range of Street Fighter X Sanrio products which we believe will prove a fitting tribute to the occasion.” said Darren Richardson, the President and Chief Executive Officer of Mad Catz Interactive, Inc. “We’re particularly pleased that the range includes both gaming hardware and lifestyle accessories, demonstrating our ability to reach new consumer segments with quality licensed product.”
Capcom delivered a celebratory pack containing a collection of games that any fighting fan would enjoy. Other announcements, like that of the Street Fighter X Mega Man game, are set to deliver a combination of awesome and retro goodness. Now, the line of products could finalize any collector’s shelf.
Mad Catz and Sanrio will deliver a range of limited edition Street Fighter themed product. Hey, who doesn’t want a ‘cute’ Ken, or maybe even a ‘bashful’ Blanka? The most notable item from the set will be the Street Fighter X Sanrio FightStick PRO, an arcade style stick ready to be loved. I mean, er, brutally fought with.
The line will also include various other smartphone and tablet cases featuring the characters. The Street Fighter X Sanrio FightStick PRO will only be available for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles. The line is also only available in North America and is now available.
