Tor Books Reveals the Cover of Halo Silentium

The Forerunner Trilogy has revealed a plethora of knowledge about Halo‘s most mysterious race: The Forerunners, chronicling, in detail, the construction of the Halos and The Didact’s exploits way before he became the central foe in Halo 4.

Greg Bear, The New York Times bestselling author of more than thirty books and winner of Hugo and Nebula awards expertly pens and fills in the blanks regarding this immensely sophisticated race of superbeings, revealing the dynamic story arc that unfolds many of the most important aspects of the Halo universe.

Recently, Tor Books (the publishers of the Halo books) has revealed the cover for Halo: Silentium, the third and final chapter of the Forerunner Trilogy. which can be seen below.

The cover of Silentium seems to paint The Didact in a more sinister light, and looks as if it will reveal the events that led to The Didact’s corruption. We may very well have answers to other mysteries such as the composition of the Composer as well as the strange Promethean Knights.

Halo: Silentium is slated for release on March 19, 2013 in hardcover, trade paperback and mass-market paperback editions.
