Want to Play Games for a Buck? Ubisoft Wants You to
I can’t say that I’m totally gung-ho about online subscription services, or being logged into a service to play. Many have voiced their opinions about EA’s Origin service which can be seen at least once a day on Reddit being filled with rant rage.
Although Ubisoft is by no means cut from the same cloth, the service is still inviting more gamers to join its network of PC based games. Today, Ubisoft announced a deal to bring many games for just a buck and a few others at a discounted price. The promotion lasts from August 16-19th for a special Gamescom promotion.
“Uplay PC is a great way for customers to discover Ubisoft’s games, connect with their friends and gaming communities, and win achievements and content that’s not available anywhere else.” said Stephanie Perotti, Worldwide Director for Online Games, Ubisoft. “For PC gamers that are already fans of Ubisoft’s titles or have been considering trying some of our classics, this promotion is a great deal, and our way of saying thank you for their support.”
The following games have been listed for the one dollar deal.
- Driver: San Francisco
- From Dust
- Silent Hunter 5
- Tom Clancy’s H.A.W.X.2
On top of the discounted games that are US $1.00 on the Uplay official site, there is a listing of games that are currently 75% off with the promotion. The following games have been offered at a discounted price for a limited time:
- Anno 2070
- Assassin’s Creed II
- Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood
- Assassin’s Creed Revelations
- Might & Magic: Heroes VI
- Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Conviction
