Earn Club Nintendo Coins for Digital Titles
I framed my Super Mario Through the Years poster. It sits right above my TV and I look at it almost every day. There were plenty of other prizes to cash in for, but it was the only that really stuck out to me. It almost spoke to me. Sounds crazy, but it is one of my favorite pieces of video game memorabilia. This hard earned poster was the product of a few registrations and surveys that earned me quite the wall art. Sure, it is a great marketing ploy for Nintendo to survey their fans and find their age, genre, and types of games they play, but it also gives something to the fan in exchange.
Now, this same feature can be used on digital titles and some 3rd party as well. Usually, it is solely for Nintendo first party games and consoles. The new update will also bring a facelift to the former rigidly designed website and “streamline” its functionality.
Even visiting the site now gives us bigger icons and an easy to use navigation that gets players straight to the nitty-gritty registration process. The payout for coins seems a lot higher for older titles.
Starting today, Club Nintendo members can exchange 100 Coins for Super Mario Kart™ and 150 Coins for Fluidity on the Wii console. Normally these games are offered at 800 Wii Points™ and 1,200 Wii Points respectively, making this new offer a great value for members. Club Nintendo members also have the option of exchanging 100 Coins for 3D Classics: Xevious® and 150 Coins for Mario vs. Donkey Kong™: Minis March Again! for the Nintendo 3DS system. These two games normally sell for $5.99 and $7.99 respectively.
This promotion of games will go until January 10, 2012, but there will also be new games announced that will also be redeemable on the Club Nintendo site. The new announcement will come next month for all of you that might be antsy in the Nintendo pantsy.
