EA Takes PS3 Fans Back to Karkand Dec. 6, Xbox 360 and PC Dec. 13
EA and DICE announced today that the first DLC pack for Bettlefield 3, Back to Karkand, is armed and ready. PlayStation 3 owners will receive the pack first on Dec. 6, followed by Xbox 360 and PC players a week later on Dec. 13.
The pack will include four new maps: Strike at Karkand, Wake Island, Gulf of Oman and Sharqi Peninsula. A new multiplayer mode, Conquest Assault, inspired by Conquest mode from Battlefield 2, will also be included in the pack. According to the press release, “Conquest Assault starts one team in command of all control points on the map while the opposing team must assault and take the flags over in order to stop their tickets from bleeding down to zero.”
Battlefield 3: Back to Karkand also features:
“Free for those that pre-ordered or purchased the Limited Edition of Battlefield 3, Back to Karkand is another way for us to say thanks to our fans and show our continued support for the game,” said Patrick Soderlund, Executive Vice President of the EA Games Label. “The launch of Battlefield 3 was only the beginning as we vow to keep the game alive with additional content and gameplay improvements in the months ahead. We’re excited to recreate and share some new Battlefield moments on these beloved maps that only Battlefield games can provide.”
Back to Karkand is retailed at $14.99 or for 1200 MSP on the Xbox LIVE Marketplace
