Politeness Pays Off in EA’s Latest Contest
“You’re welcome.” If you are planning on playing Battlefield 3 this weekend, you might want to start practicing that short phrase. Although, if you learned anything in school, or paid attention to your parents during your childhood, it should be instilled in your reactive vocabulary in the first place.
So, what exactly is EA thanking us for? Maybe they are thanking us for having that odd group of friends that just somehow makes sense when combined, but are simply “out there” when disbanded.
In the latest contest, the Battlefield 3 “Says Thanks” sweepstakes, there is quite a bit of loot on the table simply for laying waste to some excess time and energy playing video games. Real tough business going on here, I know.
The first place winner of the contest will be making quite the trip. The Grand Prize is a round-trip experience of a lifetime. They will be flown to DICE studios in Stockholm, Sweden for a soldier and three other squad-mates. That makes four people total if you were trying to do the math without taking your fingers off the scroll wheel. The stay includes three nights in Sweden and all of the meatballs you can eat. Only kidding about the meatballs. They will also get a tour of the DICE studio and meet the dev. team behind all that is Battlefield.
The second place winner will collect a breezy USD $5,000, or matched in their local currency. Last, and surely not least, third place winner will take home a brand new game system with the entire collection of Battlefield games. Whew, at this point I wouldn’t mind just counting myself in the bronze spot.
For all of these juicy prizes, one might ask-“Okay, what’s the catch?” Simply go online and play Battlefield 3 on November 11 at 12:01am GMT through Sunday, November 13 at 11:59pm GMT and you will have the opportunity to throw your hat in the ring for one of these sweet prizes.
