Professor Layton and the Last Specter Detailed
Platform: Nintendo DS
Release Date: October 17, 2011
If you were looking for yet another way to get some longevity out of your Nintendo DS console, then you have none other than the prince of puzzlers himself. This time Professor Layton will be on the hunt for something of “larger” proportions.
In this journey, Professor Layton gets word from a former colleague Clark, informing him that “a mysterious giant is destroying the town.” The series of weird events takes place three years before Professor Layton and the Curious Village, but already has him hot on the trail of this mysterious “specter” and its doings. Just like that, the professor is off to take on this giant one puzzle at a time.
Although this title is a prequel to the events of Professor Layton and the Curious Village he will however have a new face in the picture for this journey. On his way to the village of Misthallery, he is accompanied by none other than his fresh faced assistant, Emmy. This is also a prelude to the discovery of and meeting of his apprentice, Luke.
With all of the happenings, it is a surprise to see that there will be additional content for the problem solving players out there. Players can unlock Professor Layton’s London Life, which will house 100 hours of additional content. The game offers more puzzles than any other PL title in the series and will host additional free content when the puzzler launches October 17, 2011.
