Get Tetris for Free on Android

The Android Marketplace is lousy with apps that are thinly veiled, pale imitations of popular games. Before today, a search for “Tetris” would take you to a world of hurt.

Fret no longer, compulsive block-stackers, because Electronic Arts has made Tetris available for free on the Android Marketplace.

The game is ad-supported, with a relatively unintrusive banner at the top of the screen. It’s been updated with touch screen controls, which are functional, but might be frustratingly imprecise at higher difficulty levels.

Ultimately, it’s the Tetris you know and love, available on yet one more platform.
