New Resident Evil: Code Veronica X-HD and Resident Evil 4-HD Details

Playing Resident Evil:Code Veronica on my Dreamcast was a slap in the face to anyone who talked bad about the console. Before the games release, there was plenty of time spent reviewing trailers of the opening scenes where Claire meets a mysterious man in a jail cell and we also saw what the console was capable of in displaying the lighting effects.

The same can be said about Resident Evil 4‘s release on the GameCube. Fans couldn’t see how the this tiny box could power such a game and live up to the franchises expectations. Resident Evil 4 on the Gamecube turned out to rival the PlayStation 2’s release in many ways and has become an iconic turn in the gameplay style that we now know.

Players will be excited to know that their favorite evils will be returning to make an appearance on their current-gen console. They will also be pleased to know that achievements and trophies will come with the re-release of these two titles. Newcomers and fans of the series will soon have the chance to jump right into the action, but this time on demand and in HD.

Starting in September, Capcom will be bringing survival horror to your console with just a few button pushes. Resident Evil 4 HD and Resident Evil: Code Veronica X-HD will make their way to their respective digital download homes. The PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE will host, in my opinion, two of the most life changing and bloody games that the series has known.
