Release Date: September 9th, 2011
Let’s go back a simpler time where the only wingmen needed were named Peppy, Slippy, and Falco. This was a time of cartridges and epic 3D graphics preva….Wait a minute. Well, at least this time around the cartridges and 3D graphics have made some progress, but be prepared to pick up a different StarFox 64. Nintendo is offering up more than just a few improvements to the StarFox franchise and ensuring to put full use of their newest handheld.
Players will also be glad the the Wi-Fi ability will be put to good use. Jump in and partake in 1-4 person multiplayer, improved graphics, and the title will definitely make good use of the gyro. One of the most unique aspects that we saw from E3 2011 and the hands on with multiple 3DS titles, was the increased use of the camera to drive a deeper feel to their games. In this case, players could see the face of their opponent during multiplayer dog fights. Smirks, smiles and snarls will all be present the next time you go down in flames or fire off a few winning shots.
Take on the Lylat system with the original controls, or those of the Nintendo3DS. Either way, it will get the nostalgia and galactic blood pumping as you journey through space on your way to those all-important boss battles. Fox McCloud will not sleep until the universe is safe and the evil powers of Andross have been extinguished. Or at least until you’ve got to put your 3DS back on for a quick charge.
