LittleBigPlanet for PS Vita Being Developed by Double11
When I think of who would be most qualified to develop a game around the cute and cuddly Sackboy, I immediately think of the minds that worked on Manhunt.
That’s right, two engineers struck out from Rockstar and founded a studio in north-eastern England called Double11, and they are now working on LittleBigPlanet for the PlayStation Vita.
When LBP was shown at E3, the press responded with enthusiasm… and a little puzzlement. Very little was revealed, except for how it would take advantage of the Vita’s unique interface. No word was given on a release date, or a developer, until now.
This is Double11’s first project, but CEO Lee Hutchinson says “We’ve spent the best part of a year recruiting a crack squad of games development professionals and we’re delighted that we can finally announce it.”
For those unaware of the taxonomy involved with such matters, “crack” is as good as a squad can be. Sackboy is in good hands.
