Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection Available This Summer

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced today Mortal Kombat Arcade Collection is scheduled to hit Xbox LIVE Arcade, the PlayStation Network and Windows PC late summer 2011. The game will feature arcade-perfect renditions of the Mortal Kombat trilogy: Mortal Kombat, Mortal Kombat 2 and Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3.

“We are very excited to finally have the first three Mortal Kombat games available in one download package for long-time and new fans to play,” said Ed Boon, Creative Director, NetherRealm Studios. “With the release of our 2011 Mortal Kombat, and its return to 2D game play, players have been asking for these classic titles and we are happy to deliver them.”

The collection will offer new features such as online play, leaderboards, achievements and trophies.

Also announced, Gamestop will provide a free copy of Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection when gamers purchase a new Mortal Kombat Klassic Fight Sticks by Performance Designed Products (PDP). The fight stick is available for pre-order at the Gamestop website for both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 for $129.99.

The Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection will set players back 800 MS Points or $9.99 on the PSN.
