Pokémon Invade New York. Fans Struck with East Coast Envy
Would you like the good news or the bad news first? Bad news? Okay. Many on the east coast of the United States will get to play Pokémon Black and White versions before you do. The good news? Well, it sure is good news if you live on the East Coast.
The renowned Rockefeller Center will host one of the biggest Pokemon launches that we have seen to date. On March 5th from 3:00-6:00 P.M. at the Nintendo World Store, players will have the opportunity to get their paws on some major Pokémon swag. Formerly popular early 90’s band “The Presidents of the United States” will be there to perform, “Can’t Stop Catch’em All,” I know right, written for the launch of Pokemon White and Black versions. Not only will this be a huge kick off event, but fans will also be able to purchase the game a whole day before its official launch.
What else can players of the series and fans alike expect for this celebratory event? The “Liberty Pass” will also allow attendees to download the mythical Pokémon, Victini. They will also be given a “passport” to visit each station and view a variety of never before seen Pokémon art. They will also receive a stamp for each station visited. The visitations will prompt for a free T-Shirt in honor of the event.
Kids to adults are welcome and players will have the opportunity to get their hands on the game at the event. I’m sure GAMINGtruth editor Louis has already boarded a plane and is looking for a buddy on the flight back.
