Guinness World Records 2011 Gamer’s Edition Releases this Week
Gamers interested in the longest first-person shooter gaming marathon, or fastest selling Nintendo title for Wii, can look forward to the Thursday release of the Guinness World Records 2011 Gamer’s Edition.
As one would expect, the book compiles a plethora of records and achievements from the gaming world. The fourth installment of the book will contain 90 percent new or updated records and 750 never-before-seen images.
On a side note, gamers are currently on their way to breaking five records to coincide with the release of LittleBigPlanet 2: longest marathon playing LBP2, longest marathon playing a platform video game, most video game genres played in one video game in 24 hours, most user-generated video game levels played in 24 hours and most user-generated video game levels played in a marathon.
The gamers in New York at the Sony Style store’s PlayStation Lounge are set to finish their three-day record breaking attempts on Jan. 19.
Those who would rather read about such achievements can pick up a copy of the Guinness World Records book for $14.99.
