The Lost and Damned Sets Record
Like the GTA franchise needed anymore records. The highest reviewed content on XBL has already surpassed the record for first-day earnings for all other previous DLC. This content has did nothing but boost the popularity of the game with ten hours of gameplay and multiplayer modes added.
The success of ‘Grand Theft Auto IV: The Lost and Damned’ redefines what consumers expect from Game Add-ons, content like this is extending the lives of our favorite games and fundamentally changing the way we play.
states Marc Whitten, general manager of Xbox Live. Disappointingly, Microsoft has not yet released the actual figures of the amount of content downloaded. The Lost and Damned is available for download on Xbox Live for 1600 Microsoft points ($20) and requires the GTAIV game to play. Good news is that Microsoft has reportedly shelled out $50 million to the rights of the first two DLC’s. So expect the second installment for the game later this year on Xbox 360.
