Childs Play Pulls in over 1 Million Dollars!

In a move that is sure to stun anti-video game activists, Child’s Play Charity (started by Penny Arcade artists Mike Krahulik and Jerry Holkins) has raised over a million dollars.

You guys did it. You broke a million dollars in just over two months. Childs Play started as a way to show how good our community can be, but its turned into something greater than we could have ever imagined. Were making an impact on lives. See you next year.

People seem to forget that gamers are people, too. This not only proves that fact, but it proves that gamers together can make a change.

Hopefully, the next change that’s made is the perception by the media that video games are a bad thing. If only that were the case…
