Fallout 4 Launch Trailer – At A Glance
After yesterday’s surprise(?) accidental leak of Fallout 4, today’s bit of info comes in the form of the official trailer release. Based on previous information, we know Fallout 4 is set in Boston and that the title is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One & PC. This is also the first Fallout game from Bethesda Game Studios since Fallout 3, so if you’re a purist and weren’t exactly a fan of Obsidian’s Fallout: New Vegas, know that it’s back to form with the new entry.
So what can we figure out about it within the three minutes we get from our first glance at Fallout 4?
Meet Vault 11
One of the important things we get a glimpse of is that we’re hailing from Vault 11 in this new entry to the series. Vault-Tec wasn’t playing around at all.
Back to the Past?
Early on in the trailer, we get a pretty good glimpse of what happens in Boston leading up to the nuclear detonation. With things bouncing between the nuclear Boston and the past, could that time frame be playable
That’s a serious ship
At 1:39 or so, we get a glimpse of a sizeable ship that’s on-ground, for one, but has been made into a building. It looks like the word “Lane” is above the doorway.
What’s a Memory Den?
That’s what we see at 1:41. I’m curious as to both what that is and the shady gentleman walking toward the camera.
Those Enemies, though
Because there’s no way to watch this trailer and not have your thumb & index fingers twitch at the thought of fighting them. I mean look at this:

I want to both fight this and hide in the corner until it leaves.

There’s a lot of those guys. A LOT. This battle could be problematic.
Canine Companions are Back
It seems Dogmeat wasn’t the last pet to roam the wastelands with the player’s Vault Dweller.
Oh, what lovely Armor
This game’s Vault Dweller seems to have a suit of Power Armor. Could that spell a Boston branch of the Brotherhood of Steel or Enclave?
So that’s some of what I’ve been able to pull from the trailer. By no means is it as comprehensive as some of them are liable to be, but it’s what I’ve been able to pull within the few times I’ve seen the trailer. I may be able to pull more after another playthrough of Fallout 3 (which is going to happen). What do you see?
