The State of the Truth

Happy New Year, gaming family!

In the new year, there have been quite a bit of changes for GAMINGtruth. I’ll start with the less than stellar news first.

As you may notice, we’re not updating as much and that’s a very bittersweet thing for me. It’s sad because a decent amount of our writers have moved on to other gaming sites, and their personalities will be missed. While it’s sad to see them go, it feels amazing to me that they had a place to hone their craft and get to know their own writing styles in preparation for such a move.

They’ll be missed, but will always have a home here, so if you see them drop in on occasion, don’t be surprised!

Upgraded Collection

As we all know, November 15th brought us into the current generation of consoles. The PlayStation 4 was released, and the following week the Xbox One  launched and pushed us yelling and screaming (not) into the newest generation of home consoles. A couple of mobile consoles have new versions, too, and I’ve been lucky enough to introduce myself to some of the new stuff:

  • PlayStation 4
  • Xbox One
  • Nintendo 3DS XL: Mario & Luigi Dream Team Special Edition
  • PlayStation Vita

Needless to say, I’m having a bit of an issue figuring out what to play. On the bright side, that opens up possibilities for reviews to a much wider audience!

Keeping the site Moving

Moving forward, in the meantime, I’ll be running the site by my lonesome again. It’s been YEARS since I’ve run it alone, but I’m definitely game to keep it moving! I’ll freely admit that I’m much busier than I used to be, but I have full intent of keeping the site going.

So here’s hoping you’ve had a great 2013 and you’re ready for 2014 in a big way! I’m looking forward to it!
