DualShock 4 will be Compatible with PC Day-One
Sony Worldwide Studios’ boss Shuhei Yoshida has revealed that on ‘Day-One’ the DualShock 4 will be able to perform basic functions on a Windows based PC.
“The analog sticks and buttons will work just fine”, Yoshida went on to add.
The more advanced features are likely not to be supported such as motion, touch, and Light Bar capabilities. It is also not clear as to whether you will be able to use the controller straight out of the box or if additional drivers will be required like the DualShock 3 controller.
Microsoft went on to add that their controller will have an update in early 2014 that will make the Xbox One controller compatible with Windows based PC’s. The DualShock 4 will be available on day one of the system (November 15th) in black, red and blue colors.
