Latest ‘Road to Battlefield’ Highlights Gun Customization
DICE has published another Road to Battlefield blog, this time it is chock-full of information and useful tips on how to customize your weapons in Battlefield 4.
In Battlefield 4, players are given deep customization options for their chosen firestick. For example, DICE reveals that even a single weapon can have more than 240,000 variations, from optics to appearance. Beyond the game’s 16 camouflage options, players can use adaptive camo, which will allow them to blend into any environment — great for aspiring snipers.
Speaking of snipers, fans of long-range kills can now zero their scope, which allows better bullet drop calibration when it comes to distance. Snipers will also have access to an insane 40x zoom scope, which means that, along with the ability to zero the scope, there really is nowhere for people to hide, even if they’re hiding a half a map away.
A new addition to the maps are Battle Pickups.
Battle Pickups are weapons that will be scattered throughout a map. They are visible on your radar, and include guns such as the .50 cal sniper rifle. Those who are used to games with super weapons should feel familiar with the premise.
DICE said the pickups exist in strategic locations, and are meant to allow players to try out new weapons without having to rely on loadouts. The only catch is that the pickups have limited ammunition.
