New Art and Gameplay Revealed for ‘A Link Between Worlds’
Nintendo has release new art and gameplay footage for The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, Link’s next 2-D adventure exclusively for the 3DS.
The game is directly connected to the SNES classic, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. However, A Link Between Worlds will take place six generations after the original. The game will use the Dark World element from the prior game, giving Link access to an opposite Hyrule, complete with its own Dark Triforce.
Link is given an ability unique to this latest outing, in which he is able to become a drawing on the wall, which can allow him to access new areas. The video, which was included in a recent Nintendo Direct stream, also displays Link using a magical power which conjures a fire tornado, as well as a familiar ability to charge — much like he could using the Pegasus Boots.
Nintendo also confirmed that while the game will feature a world similar to the one in A Link to the Past, A Link Between Worlds will have all-new dungeons and challenges, so don’t expect too much déjà vu.
The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds will be available on the 3DS in November.
