Rainbow Moon Sequel Coming to PlayStation 3 and PS Vita
Role-playing games often require a tactician to be in the driver’s seat in order to beat the game. The RPG title Rainbow Moon from SideQuest Studios fit that very mold and was all wrapped up into one helluva indie title. That was July 2012. Now, the next installment of the series fills the horizon — Rainbow Skies looks to add to an already expansive story.
Sequels often give developers the opportunity to fix or add features that weren’t implemented in the first. Whether fans begged for them or they are some necessary to keep the games functionality, they can make or break a game. Here are some of the new features that you will find in Rainbow Skies:
- Monster taming
- Advanced battle system, new combo attacks,
- New dungeon action elements
- New dialog and emoticon system
- New treasure hunt quests
- Improved side quest system,
- Explorable buildings
- New mini-games.
Here are two of the newly added buildings:
These are two examples of the now accessible and able to be explored structures. The game isn’t a direct addition to its predecessor. It takes place in a new world with development already spanning over a year.
The game is slated to launch on the PlayStation 3 and PS Vita in 2014. There is no news whether the title will make the leap to Sony’s newest PlayStation 4 console, though.
