Splinter Cell Blacklist Trailer Demos Play Style Varieties
Ubisoft has released a trailer for Splinter Cell Blacklist demonstrating three different styles of play: Ghost, Panther and Assault.
Each play style is named after how a gamer can approach a situation in Blacklist. Ghost means getting to the end of a mission undetected, using non-lethal methods to take down guards. Sam Fisher can use a hover drone for detection, or utilize his thermal goggles to track enemy movement. To play the Ghost style means using tactics and tools to get the job done.
Assault is the antithesis to Ghost. Forgoing any notion of steal, Assault players use big guns and a lot of explosions to get the job done. It’s messy, but hey, it works.
Panther is like a mix between the prior two. This play style allows Fisher to neutralize enemies with lethal force while still remaining undetected. From the video, we believe that Panther closely resembles the suggested play style featured in Splinter Cell Conviction, where Fisher was able to take out enemies using the mark-and-execute mechanic.
