Soulcalibur II HD Online Coming this Fall
Publisher and developer Namco Bandai has revealed that the company will release Soulcalibur II HD Online for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 this fall.
Soulcalibur II was the sequel to the original Soulcalibur, which was released for the arcade, but its popularity exploded when it launched alongside the Dreamcast in 1999. Soulcalibur II was first released for the Xbox, PlayStation 2 and GameCube in 2003, introducing a popular game character from outside the series unique to each console.
Celebrating the game’s 10-year anniversary, Namco Bandai will release Soulcalibur II HD Online, updating the classic fighter with enhanced graphics, HDTV compatibility and online play.
The publisher has not confirmed whether the updated version of Soulcalibur II will include Spawn, Link or Heihachi, special fighters unique to Xbox, GameCube and PlayStation 2 respectively.
