Ubisoft Launches WeareData, an ARG for Watch_Dogs
Ubisoft has revealed the existence of an alternate reality game (ARG) for Watch_Dogs, titled WeareData.
The goal of the site is to gather data from publicly available sources, such as traffic cameras, Wi-Fi hotspots and the like, and recreate a city in digital form. The site will gather data from three cities, Paris, London and Berlin, including social media activity (when allowed) from each of the city’s inhabitants.
“Watch_Dogs WeareData is the first website to gather publicly available data about Paris, London and Berlin, in one location,” the home page of WeareData reads. “Each of the three towns is recreated on a 3D map, allowing the user to discover the data that organizes and runs modern cities today, in real time. It also displays information about the inhabitants of these cities, via their social media activity.”
