Respawn Entertainment Reveals Its First Game: Titanfall
If you’ve been impatient to find out what Vince Zampella and Jason West have been doing since leaving Activision and Call of Duty behind, wait no further — Titanfall is coming.
Titanfall is a sci-fi shooter featuring first-person combat mixed with mechanical hulks called Titans. The game will include both a single- and multiplayer mode, both of which look rather impressive.
As the pilot, players will be able to move swiftly across ground and over buildings using a booster pack equipped to their backs. The pack allows the pilot to reach high platforms and wallrun.
But after strapping into the slower but more imposing Titan, players can turn the tide of battle with powerful weaponry including rockets and energy-based weapons.
While the Titan looks formidable, the pilots are not completely helpless. They have their own tactics, including jumping onto enemy Titans and shooting at weak points to chip away at the machine’s health.
“It’s an exciting time in the industry and it feels like the perfect time to be unveiling Titanfall,” said Vince Zampella, co-founder of Respawn Entertainment. “Our passion at Respawn is games and we are focused on bringing something exciting to kick off the next generation of software.”
