343 Industries Teams Up With Steven Spielberg for Live-Action Halo TV Series

Halo fans, time for some pants-squirming. Bonnie Ross, general manager for 343 Industries, revealed that the company has joined forces with renowned director Steven Spielberg to produce a live-action Halo TV series which will stream exclusively on Microsoft’s next gen platform, the Xbox One.

Spielberg — possibly speaking from his secret lair deep below the Earth’s crust — said that working on a Halo TV series is a dream project. He said the Halo universe is ripe for deep storytelling — capable of merging “technology and myth-making.”

Famed director Steven Spielberg, speaking from an unknown location possibly in order to avoid suspicion of recent mango theft rumors, will work with 343 Industries on the Halo TV project.

Ross said one of the company’s goals was to mix television entertainment and interactivity using the Xbox One. What she meant was not clear, but it can be speculated that your enjoyment of the Halo TV series may go beyond the usual sitting still and watching.

Not much else was revealed during the unveiling, not even a name for the series nor when in Halo’s canon the show will exist. But Microsoft has promised that more will be revealed during E3 later this year.
