Gran Turismo 6 Has Been Officially Revealed
Sony has announced that the next installment from its most prominent – 15 years old and counting – will be released late 2013. Gran Turismo 6 will feature the tracks and cars from the previous Gran Turismo 5 as well as some new ones.
Some of these cars include:
- Alfa Romeo TZ3 Stradale ’11
- Alpine A110 1600S ’68
- Audi Sport quattro S1 Rally Car ’86
- Ferrari Dino 246 GT ’71
- KTM X-BOW R ’12
- Light Car Company Rocket ’07
- Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 ’11
- Nissan GT-R Nismo GT3 N24 Schulze Motorsport
- Tesla Motors Model S Signature Performance ’12
The list of 1,200 cars will be available, most of which can be customized your liking, bringing some personality to the racing. There will be seven new locations including the UK’s Silverstone Circuit and some additional layouts.
Future DLC will include more cars and tracks, so the list will expand even further. Gran Turismo 6 will strive to bring a more realistic racing experience to its players with a new physics engine. The engine includes features such as a new models for tires, suspension, kinematics and aerodynamics.
Players will also be able to create their own community online to race against others. These community levels can range from local to global, and players can create their own online events to promote and race.
Gran Turismo 6 will be available exclusively on the PlayStation 3 this holiday season.
