The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past Sequel Announced for Nintendo 3DS
Nintendo revealed that the 1991 Super Nintendo classic, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, will be getting a true sequel on the Nintendo 3DS.
The company released the footage starring Nintendo front man Reggie Fils-Aime, who goes over the concept of the 3DS title, which is due for release this holiday season. Fils-Aime mentions a 3D preview which will soon be up on the Nintendo eShop.
The unnamed sequel will take place in the same universe as its 1991 predecessor, but will feature different dungeons, and it will include an original storyline. The game will retain its traditional overhead view and utilize the cel-shaded look and style of the LOZ: Wind Waker title, released in 2007.
Using the 3D technology of the 3DS, the idea is to provide a sense of height and volume while adding an element for puzzle solving. The game will also feature the ability for Link to “draw” himself onto the wall to get different perspectives on areas and objects.
More on the sequel will be revealed in time, so keep your browsers locked on GAMINGtruth for more.
