Defiance Aims for Your TV and Gaming Time
If you’ve never heard of SyFy’s latest science fiction show, Defiance, you could be forgiven. That doesn’t mean they don’t want it to happen ASAP, though.
The two-hour pilot of the new show hit the airwaves last night in record-breaking numbers, giving the network it’s biggest premiere in years. We’re talking 2.7 million viewers, with 1.3 million of those in the much-coveted 18-49 demographic.
As the first series to have a video game with an ongoing intertwining story arc, the experiment seems to be going well. Reviewers on Metacritic seem to have mixed scores, while the user reviews are overwhelmingly positive.
What does that mean for you? Well, Nathan Richardsson, Defiance’s executive producer and VP of development, and Lance “Myll_Erik” James, Trion Worlds community manager, are going to be in a Raptr Q&A, answering your questions about both the show and the game.
Be there April 17 as they answer your questions from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. PST. Yes, you read that right, they’re going to spend eight hours answering questions on both the show and the game. On top of that, they’ll be giving away five digital deluxe copies of Defiance for the PC – a $99 value – to the best five questions as ruled by Raptr staff.
If you enjoy Defiance, it’d be massive pile of schtako if you didn’t try to drop in for a bit.
