NCAA Football 14 Receives The Much Needed Infinity Engine
The first details were released today by EA Sports involving NCAA Football 14. Not only will the title be receiving the Infinity Engine, it won’t be Madden’s leftovers. The Infinity Engine 2 will be introduced in NCAA Football 14, and will add more realism to the NCAA franchise. Madden had a few of its own issues with the original IE, but it completely changed how that series plays. EA Sports released a producer video showcasing some of the physics enhancements. Ball carriers will now be able to cut while running, accelerate through open lanes, and create juke combinations to help break open down the field.
NCAA Football 14 is clearly focusing on the running aspect as the game will implement more than 30 new option plays. There will also be an option to highlight key defensive players when executing your option plays. Spread option, read option, and play action option passing will be some of what’s available. With the game of football evolving with these play styles, it’s a must have to keep up with the details of some of these schools.
According to a press release, the Marketing Director for EA Sports, Randy Chase, had this to say:
“This year marks the greatest leap forward in a generation for the NCAA Football franchise. The inclusion of the Infinity Engine and several new gameplay features make this year’s game feel incredibly fresh and authentic, and the introduction of Ultimate Team will give fans the chance to take the field with some of the most well-known players of all time.”
Additional Information for the game will be released in future increments:
