Poker Night 2 Will Feature GLaDOS, Claptrap and More

Assuming this isn’t another attempt at an April Fool’s joke; we might be seeing quite the mashup for a poker title.

Telltale Games originally release Poker Night at the Inventory back in 2010. The game featured characters such as Max from the Sam & Max series, and the Heavy class from Team Fortress 2. Much like the premise of the first title, players are introduced to iconic video game characters when they aren’t necessarily doing their job. Poker Night 2 shuffles in more characters for the round table hold’em game.

“It’s great to revisit our roots after the success of The Walking Dead. People might not know that we have a strong history of humor in our games and players are going to find a lot of laughs in Poker Night 2,” said Dan Connors, Telltale CEO and Co-Founder, adding “Poker Night 2 is another example of our ability to work with phenomenal partners and bring great characters to life in the gaming universe.”

To top off the cast of well-knowns, GLaDOS (Portal series) will drop in to see if you are still there, taking on the role of the dealer. Here is the lineup as mentioned in the release:

Claptrap from Gearbox Software’s critically-acclaimed and multi-million selling Borderlands video game series
Brock Samson from Adult Swim’s animated series The Venture Bros.
Sam from the Sam & Max video game and comic book series by Steve Purcell
Ash Williams from the cult classic movie Army of Darkness. Groovy!

This isn’t just a game. Playing through levels of poker will also unlock various items for other titles. This includes skins for Borderlands 2, and accessories for Team Fortress 2 (PC only).

Poker Night 2 is slated for release on the PlayStation Network, Xbox LIVE Arcade and PC later this month. Surprisingly, the game will receive a ‘M’ rating due to content, which should be worthwhile banter.
