Square Enix is launching new content for its third-person mob title, Sleeping Dogs. The content pack is titled the “Year of The Snake,” and it revisits main protagonist, Wei Shen. Following the main events of the game, the newly released downloadable content returns Wei to the police force as he is caught in the chaos of a serpent-themed team. The Cult of the Snake is planning a city-wide “cleansing” to rid the city of its sins.
Much like any other drama or action movie, there’s a catch. The cult is readying for Judgment Day, giving Wei until the stroke of midnight to stop the clan from taking out civilians. In the efforts to stop the group from detonating a bomb with a rather large blast radius, Wei must kick ass. There are a few new weapons added to his arsenal, along with new outfits and abilities. Even the looniest extremists can be slowed with the use of a tear gas launcher or electroshock pistol.
The Sleeping Dogs DLC, Year of The Snake launches today for 560 MS Points or $6.99. The content will be available on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.
