Space Hulk makes Board Game-like Return with these Two New Screens
Today, developer Full Control released the first screens for its upcoming Space Hulk title. The top down title pays tribute to the Space Hulk board game, which lies amongst the Warhammer 40K universe. This is an update as the announcement trailer, seen above, was released back in December.
Take on the tight corridors of ship lost in space. Once again players will take on the role of the Space Marine Terminators in order to rid the ship of this army of aliens known as the Genestealers.
“Since playing the board game decades ago I have always wanted to recreate this slice of Warhammer 40,000 as a computer game. Now we can finally bring the board game to life in glorious 3D full of scary Genestealers and mighty Terminators fighting for human kind,” said Thomas Hentschel Lund, CEO of Full Control. “As huge fans of the Space Hulk board game and the Warhammer 40,000 universe in general, we are delighted that Games Workshop has given us the opportunity to work with this iconic license and bring our version of Space Hulk into the hands of all fans out there.”
The game encompasses the “Sin of Damnation” campaign, which was featured in the third edition of the board game. Here are some of the features you can expect from the title:
- 12 Mission Single Player and Co-Op Campaign
- Space Marine vs. Genestealers matches
- Cross-platform play between PC, Mac and iOS
- Space Hulk level editor allowing players to create and share online
