Battlefield 4 is Coming to Next-Gen Consoles
Electronic Arts has revealed that its upcoming military shooter, Battlefield 4, will indeed make its way to the next series of consoles.EA President Frank Gibeau said the game is already being shown behind closed doors, most recently at the GameStop District Managers meeting last week.
“We’ve been investing and innovating on new technology for months,” Gibeau wrote in a blog post at EA.com. “Console partners who have seen our early work agree, EA’s next-gen software is nothing short of astonishing.”
“At a GameStop company meeting earlier this week, we gave 500 store managers a sneak peak [sic] at Battlefield 4,” he continued. “The game received a huge ovation and thousands of fans reacted to a single enthusiastic Tweet by GameStop’s CEO.”
There is no time frame as to when Battlefield 4 will received the official unveiling to the public. We can only speculate that if the game is already being shown, a major unveiling could be a month or so away. This would time it perfectly for the rumored April month that Microsoft plans on unveiling its new home console as well.
Is it possible that we could see Battlefield 4 at the Microsoft showcase? We will have to wait and see. Be sure to check back with us as more news is unveiled about Battlefield 4.
