Quick, to the eShop! Demo Aregato Mr. F-Zero, Demo.

The Nintendo Wii U has thus far offered more connectivity than its predecessor. Simple things like demos have now become more accessible and available with the navigation ease of the eShop. This week offers enough demos for you, the consumer, to make an educated purchase from what you’ve played.

Dropping yet another goodie for the Wii U, F-Zero comes to the newly introduced Virtual Console. The high-speed racer saw its prime on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) and now graces your HD Wii U. Future games will be hosted here as promised by Satoru Iwata during the recent Nintendo Direct Feed. That, a silly Luigi hat and other Luigi themed games were showcased.

Now on to the games! Er, I mean demos!

This week, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate delivers on its promises. Newly introduced hunters will no doubt enjoy a chance to experience what the Wii U can deliver with this highly anticipated title. While the news of the demo is rather recent, there is no update as to whether it will support Nintendo 3DS features in it.

For those not familiar with the Monster Hunter series, the game stems from its popularity in Japan, only in recent years coming to North America. With the most recent installments, the Wii proved that this massive multiplayer can survive and now looks to tie in cross-platform play with the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U consoles. Hunt monsters, find items, and journey with friends over an expansive terrain. Did we mention the, ya’know, FIGHTING GINORMOUS MONSTERS part?

Didn’t have enough funds to buy all those Wii U launch titles? This week, demos for some of those launch games are hitting the eShop. Games like Trine 2: Director’s Cut is set to hit the demo hut. The action-platformer brings with it challenging puzzles and is more than easy on the eyes.
The ‘Director’s Cut is exclusive to the Wii U, housing extra content like “Dwarven Caverns” which is an extra level for the console. Play as the Wizard, Thief or Knight as you trek across 20 levels. That is, if the demo shows you the loot.

The Wii U isn’t the only Nintendo console receiving new games. The Nintendo 3DS will see the recently released Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed in demo form. This is something important for those wanting to see how the fast-paced racer translates over to the handheld console. The home console version was graphically demanding, calling for vehicle transformations to occur without as much as a hiccup.

The game has seen the same developer throughout each port. This is something promising as it has hit multiple platforms in current-gen gaming. Hopefully, it will look a lot better than the screens seen online. See above.

Atlus is looking to deliver a top-notch role playing game on the handheld. The Nintendo 3DS has been seeing a slight increase in role playing titles. Along with that comes an exploratory experience of the ages.

The game is suited with traditional RPG elements and attacks, but showcases differing viewpoints as you stroll some areas in a first-person view. While the game is set to release in just a few days, the demo goes live today. There are random enemies generated and hopefully continues the history of being one of the highest selling Nintendo DS titles.

Yoshi makes a return via ‘3DS eShop. The puzzler will no doubt have you scratching your noggin’ trying to get the eggs a rollin’. The game is a stacking puzzler, similar to what you’d find in Tetris, but has a slight twist. Mix and match pieces to make them disappear and capture them in egg shells to do the same.
