During a live streaming broadcast on Feb. 18, Square Enix gave brief previews of its upcoming titles for the PlayStation Vita. The ending of the video unveiled new footage of Final Fantasy X HD, the PS2 classic’s current-gen remake.

Final Fantasy X HD received the full high-def treatment, with upgraded character models and environments, all suited for the Vita and PS3. Though no release date was given, the game’s producer Shinji Hashimoto did apologize for the delay, explaining that the company wanted to give fans the fullest, truest representation of the game, and promised that a release date would be announced soon.

Could that release date be given for this year’s E3 in June? We will just have to wait and see.
