“Touch Fight” For Dead or Alive 5 Plus Revealed
Tecmo has revealed more details on the Touch Fight mode for Dead or Alive 5 Plus, the upcoming fighting game for the PlayStation Vita. To take advantage of the Vita’s touchscreen, gamers can play from a first person perspective and utilizing a series of swipes, pokes, pinches, or flicks to initiate various moves on their opponents. The various methods to initiate moves are intuitive, such as an upward swipe for a launcher, and a pinching motion to start a grapple or hold.
As this is a first for the popular fighting series, there are a number of training modes available: Free Training and Tutorials, as well as the more demanding Command Training, which requires mastery of moves before progression. There will also be a Combo Challenge, which coaches the player on the moves and available combos of a specific character.
Touch Fight will be available in both portrait and landscape mode, which will either give the player a more detailed look at their opponent or their background, respectively.
Dead or Alive 5 Plus will be available for the PlayStation Vita on March 19.
