Activision and Treyarch confirmed a release date for the newest map pack installation to Call of Duty: Black Ops II. The downloadable content for one of the most popular first-person shooters is set to release on Feb. 28 on the PlayStation 3 and Windows PC.
Those who are looking for a bit of variety should be pleased with the map offerings. From skate parks to the Gobi desert, there’s a place to kill for everyone. Check out the details below from the release:
- Hydro: Located in Pakistan, this hydro-electric plant comes complete with a lethal spillway that floods with very little warning.
- Grind: Set in a skate park in Venice Beach (the birthplace of skateboarding!), quarter-pipes and curved surfaces drive players away from easy cover and into intense firefights.
- Downhill: A ski resort in the French Alps, this snowy map is complete with a moving gondola system that can both offer cover and crush you to death.
- Mirage: Located in China’s Gobi Desert, this luxury resort has been ravaged by a sandstorm.
For those who like to slay the undead, Zombies is also getting a few new features and map. The new map titled “Die Rise” places survivors in a diminishing city of skyscrapers. Adding to the horrific features is a new way to play Zombies. The mode entitled “Turned” allows players to take the role of the zombies and team up against the living.
The Revolution Map Pack is set to release for $14.99. Those who buy the Season Pass for $49.99 will have access to all four maps and includes Revolution.
