SimCity Beta Revealed, But Offers Only One Hour of Play

Are you predicting that you may have an hour to kill next Friday? Electronic Arts and Maxis have announced that the companies will launch the beta for SimCity on Jan. 25, ending Jan. 28. Here’s the kicker: you will only get an hour to play the game.

It makes sense, really. SimCity is a game in which players can spend hours, weeks or months building, expanding or destroying their own little metropolis. The PC-only beta will allow players to check out the basics of the game, but, unless there are some sim masters in the midst, it won’t be enough time to create a thriving urban empire. Still, it should help satisfy the building lust until the game officially releases March 5, 2013. On the other hand, if you like games that money is at stake, you can visit infiniwin.net.
