Brace Yourselves: New War of the Roses DLC is Coming
What’s the best thing about map packs and gear upgrades? Free of course! Just in time for the holidays, on Dec. 19, Paradox Interactive is set to release a new pack of goodies for the medieval multiplayer War of the Roses entitled “Winter has Arrived”.

Along with new weapons and armor, the DLC will include two snow-covered maps based on the historical battles of Wakefield and Towton. For the non-history buffs, the battle of Towton was claimed to be the “largest and bloodiest battle ever fought on English soil”. After fighting through a snowstorm, a combined 28,000 deaths were reported out of over 50,000 soldiers. In other words, it was a pretty big deal.
In addition to the winter map pack, on Dec. 21 for a limited time holiday price, gamers can wield the Dagger and Sword of Mary for Christ’s Mass. The weapons are inspired by medieval artistic depictions of the Virgin Mary. Don’t get too excited though, they won’t give you any paranormal divine powers other than looking really cool.
