Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Now Taps Its Way to iOS

Final Fantasy Celebrated its 25th anniversary of the series this year. The lasting franchise brought with it many fan oriented events, but it also kicked off an endeavor into the musical scores of the game. Now that same experience can be found on your iOS device.

For many, the Theatrhythm Final Fantasy title was something to mark the anniversary. The music was a way to relive many of the memorable moments from the games, most of which have left lasting impressions and have shaped our current plane of gaming. If you were also thinking if you already own the title on the Nintendo 3DS that there was no reason to get mobile once again with the iOS release, think again.

The new platform also brings with it new challenges. The Quest Medley mode¬†allows players to experience the songs that they’ve played, but gain new rewards in doing so. Each time a song is played new rewards are opened up. So, even though you’ve gone through your arsenal of songs, doesn’t mean you’ll be playing the same thing twice. Something that just may add some replay value to those tapped out thumbs of yours that are in need of new challenges.

I think the real kicker for the game is its price. The Theatrhythm Final Fantasy will launch on the iOS for free. The monetary portion of the game comes in the form of songs and characters. Each song will cost $0.99 and the characters $1.99. The game will include two scores and 13 characters to start you out.

Here is the list of supported devices for those of you wondering if ye old device will make it: “Compatible with the iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod touch (5th generation), iPad2, new iPad (3rd generation), iPad (4th generation), and iPad mini. Compatible with iOS 4.3 and later.”
