Brace Yourself: Another Hour Long Wii U Update is Now Available

It wasn’t long after the Nintendo Wii U launch that news of the console “bricking” was possible.
For most, the hour long update was simply a first world problem pain. For a few people out there who stopped the update by powering down the console during the update, they were alarmed to find out the fatal Achilles’ Heel error that could stop the console from functioning. Just recently the Nintendo Wii U Facebook page issued this message:
“Wii U owners, make sure your Wii U is connected to the Internet to receive a system update that is now available. Please note that this update may take an hour or more to complete depending on your Internet connection. Please do not unplug your console while the update is downloading. For complete information on this update, visit support.nintendo.com/wiiu/update.”–Nintendo Wii U Official Facebook Page.

If you follow the link it will provide you with steps from the Nintendo website on how not to “hurt” your console during the update. A wise man once said, “Hold on to your butts!” The update also comes not long after the Nintendo President, Satoru Iwata, apologized for the consoles day one load time.
The update comes just one day before the Nintendo Direct Feed steam. The feed is set for December 5, 2012 at 9 PST/12PM ET. Hit the link and bookmark if you are planning to watch along. In the meantime I’m sure you can find something to do.
