Far Cry 3 Map Editor Lets You Create Death, All Pretty Like
Whether you are looking for a tropical resort theme or just some nice scenery while you blast some baddies, there’s something for everyone. With over 2,000 items available for customization I don’t see how you could leave from that toy store without choosing something.
The level editor looks interesting. Much like other custom maps out there users can build and share their creations online. Everything from weather, terrain and right down to time of day can be customized. The Sandbox Mode allows for vehicles and animals to run rampant in a single player mode with plenty of AI bots.
Who doesn’t want the possibility of getting gun downed or eaten by a crock in the same match?
These maps will become downloadable free of charge, which is something that can heavily extend replay value of a game. Creators and players can play the maps and vote on them. It is then up to you, the creator, to modify and change things that will make the map better. Doing so could land you a spot next to official Ubisoft content.
Far Cry 3 is set to release December 4, 2012.
